Alma Mary was born in this room in 1884, and in 1910 it
was converted into the master bedroom.
A Romantic Getaway located in the southeast corner of the first floor,
this largest room in the house (18' x 20") features a Magnificent Queen
size mahogany four-poster canopy bed with pillow top mattress, antique walnut
vanity with folding mirrors, matching large dresser & mirror, and chest
of drawers, all with restored hand-painted adornments, tiled working gas
fireplace with original hand-carved mantle, sitting area, 12' ceilings
adorned with wide crown molding, large bay window with original 1800's
stained glass, and original oak hardwood floors. Enjoy the private spacious bathroom with restored
antique claw-foot tub and shower, and wall-mounted hairdryer. A large
semi-private screened-in porch with table and four chairs is where you can
enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a relaxing glass of wine at day's
end. The porch adjoins with the Garden Retreat room which can be convenient

George Woldert, this room (16' x 16') is located in the NE corner of the
first floor. It features 12' ceilings adorned with wide crown molding, a tiled
working gas fireplace, original hardwood floors, and a pretty view of the
Rear Garden. It is furnished with an antique mahogany bedroom suite which
includes a highboy, and a pillow top queen-size bed inlaid with walnut and
brass rosettes. An upholstered love seat pulls out to single bed for a third
guest (tight navigation). The spacious bathroom with cabinet, drawers and
countertop offers a glassed-in tiled shower and wall-mounted hairdryer. This
room also adjoins the Garden Retreat room, which can be convenient for guests

Featuring original heart-of-pine floors, this room is
decorated in lavenders, greens and white; and furnished with a decorative
Victorian King-size iron bed with quilt, Eastlake mahogany dresser, a pair of
matching nightstands, vanity desk with an oval beveled mirror, and wingback chair
in the sitting area with built-in bookshelves. The private bath has a step-in shower and wall-mounted
hairdryer. Wireless internet and
cable TV included. This room is
large enough for a third person to use a single rollaway bed. Maximum
Occupancy: 3 The Richard McLeroy, Jr. room was once used by the oldest
son of Alma Mary Woldert-Spence. Located upstairs in the northeast corner of
the house, this 15' x 16' room enjoys a nice view of the Rear Garden below.
The room is furnished with a queen-sized antique cherry wood four-poster
spindle-spool bed with matching nightstand, and dresser topped with an oval
mirror and hand-carved drawer pulls. An antique camelback trunk at the foot
of the bed harkens back to days of old. A wingback chair, footstool, and
three-piece Eastlake mahogany chair set completes the decor. The room is decorated in pale blue and
cream, with coral accents, and has the original heart-of-pine floors. Your private hall bath featuring a restored antique
claw-foot tub with shower, along with a pedestal sink and wall-mounted
hairdryer, is located one step outside the bedroom. For your convenience, His
and Hers robes are located in the room's closet. Wireless internet and cable

The Robert Spence, Jr. room was once used by the
youngest son of the Woldert-Spence family. This (15' x 15') located upstairs
in the northwest corner of the house, is a sunny room featuring original
heart-of-pine floors and French doors leading out to a private covered
balcony overlooking Tyler's historic brick streets. This room is furnished with a
queen-size heirloom metal bed, antique vanity and matching chest of drawers
made of ornately carved oak with burlwood overlay, and a pair of matching
marble-topped walnut nightstands. The room is decorated in rose, blue,
cream and white, and has a private bath with a step-in shower and a
wall-mounted hairdryer. NOTE: The West side of our upstairs rooms show evidence
of the full attic space it once was. There is a small step-down into this
room; and a low overhead spot for our taller guests to navigate. Wireless

(14' x 11') room located upstairs in the southwest corner of the house was
her writing room where she composed her poetry. A sunny room with several windows all
covered with white lace, the Sunroom is adjacent to the front balcony, which
is available to all guests, but it does not have a private entrance to the
balcony. Featuring the original heart-of-pine floors, this room
is decorated in blue, rose, burgundy and white, and furnished with an antique
full-size bed of ornately carved oak with burlwood overlay and an antique
hand-carved oak vanity topped with a pair of Aladdin lamps. A small sitting
area is nestled in an alcove. The
private bath has a step-in shower and a wall-mounted hairdryer. NOTE: The West side of our upstairs rooms show evidence
of the full attic space it once was. There is a small step-down into this

formerly the study of William Woldert. Featuring 12ft ceilings adorned with wide
crown molding, you will enjoy your very own private entrance directly from
the garden deck area. This room does not open directly to the main house
center hallway, so we provide your own coffee maker and mini fridge for
convenience; however, guests have access to the main hallway, parlor and
dining areas for visiting and breakfast. Your semi-private screened porch opening to the front of
the house provides a convenient yet quiet place to start and end your daily
travels in Tyler! Guests can pass
through the screened porch to the Alma Mary; and it also directly adjoins the
William room, either of which can be convenient for those traveling in a
group. This fully carpeted retreat is furnished with a Queen four-poster
black wrought-iron bed romantically draped with white lace, side table, and
early American maple dresser and hutch units. Our smallest bathroom in the
house is fitted with a glass step-in corner shower. Wireless Internet and

Occupancy: 2 $139.00 This 1930's carriage house with reserved parking is
located to the rear of the main house and has almost 700 square feet of
living space with original hardwood floors in a very private accommodation on
the second floor. The living room features a gas fireplace, DVD & VCR
player with a library to choose from, a small balcony, built-in bookshelves
and desk, a matching queen-size sleeper sofa and loveseat. The dining room, with a built-in hutch and stained-glass
light fixture, is decorated with a delightfully colorful fruit theme, which
continues into the fully equipped kitchen featuring original cabinetry, a
full-size refrigerator, free-standing range, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster,
dishes, pots and pans, and all the utensils needed in the event you decide to
eat in for dinner! Refreshments, condiments, coffee, tea, and treats are also
provided. The bedroom is furnished
in white wicker with a queen-size bed, two matching bedside tables with
Tiffany-style stained-glass lamps, and dresser with mirror. The full bathroom has a large pedestal sink, tub
and shower, wall-mounted hairdryer, stained-glass decor, and the original
tiled floor. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor deck and garden area
surrounding the main house. The room rate includes a delicious breakfast
